Beccles is a market town within the Suffolk Broads. It was once a Saxon riverport and is still a popular boating centre today. Interesting buildings include an unusual oxagonal town hall, a museum containing boat building relics and items from the printing trade, an industry that has close historical ties with Beccles. Roos Hall just outside the town is said to be the most haunted house in England.
